CD 95, Fas cell surface receptor
The Fas receptor binds ther FAs ligand. The binding of the ligand triggers the Fas-associated death domain (FADD) protein, along with capase 8 and 10, culminating in cell apoptosis. Germline mutaion of CD95 gives rise to the autoimmune lymphoporliferative syndrome.
