Malignant solitary fibrous tumours:
are associated with chest pain, shortness of breathe and pleural effusion
the tumour is more than 10 cm in diameter
the mitotic rate is more than 4/10 HPF
increased cellularity with atypia and necrosis
invasive margins with infiltration of adjacent structures
areas of high-grade sarcoma
loss of CD34 and positivity for CD31, p53 and Ki-67 are associated with aggressive behaviour
