Prostate specific membrane antigen, PSMA

PSMA3 is a Mr 100,000 type II membrane protein consisting of 750 amino acids. Although PSMA exhibits in vitro neuropeptidase activity, its function in vivo has not been fully elucidated. The PSMA gene is located on chromosome 11.
