Retinoblastoma gene family

The retinoblastoma gene family of tumour suppressor genes is composed of three members. These three genes have unique, partially overlapping, roles in modulating the cell cycle. The three members are:

• retinoblastoma gene, Rb, encoding the protein pRb

• Rb2/p130

• p107
