Signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT)

The signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) molecules are responsible for the transcription of various differentiation and regulatory proteins in breast carcinomas. The transcription factor STAT5a is important for mammary gland differentiation and growth.
