Thymic large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma

Definition

A high-grade malignancy composed of large cells with neuroendocrine features.

Histopathology

The tumour commonly shows palisading, rosettes or a trabecular architecture. Necrosis is often extensive. There is a high mitotic rate.
