Ossifying fibromyxoid tumour of soft parts

Clinical features

This is most commonly a tumour of the subcutis or skeletal muscle of extremities. This is a tumour of borderline / low grade malignancy

Histopathology

It is composed of lobulated nests of small bland round cells within a stroma which varies form myxoid to hyaline. Most, but not all, cases have an incomplete shell of lamellar bone.
