CD 70

CD70 is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the tumour necrosis factor family. It is the ligand for CD27 and mediates interactions between T and B lymphocytes. Antigenicity requires frozen sections.

Immunohistochemical expression

• Hodgkin disease

• Non-Hodgkin lymphomas: there is frequently co-expression of CD70 and CD27.

• Nasopharyngeal carcinoma

• Thymic carcinoma: positivity is seen in frozen sections only
