• neuromas

• neurofibromas

• ganglioneuromas

• tumours with neural differentiation:

  • ganglioneuroblastomas

  • ganglioneuromas

  • gangliocytic paragangliomas

• granular cell tumours

• not glial tissue and tumours

Diagnostic utility

• distinction of neurofibromas (positive for CD57, GFAP and MBP) from neurotised naevi (negative for CD57, GFAP and MBP)
