OCT2

OCT2 is a transcription factor in B-lymphocytes2, that targets the octomer motifs in the immunoglobulin promotor in conjunction with co-activator BOB.1, activating immunoglobulin gene transcription. It is thought to play a role in germinal centre formation and in the differentiation of B-cells into plasma cells.

Immunohistochemical expression

Expression is nuclear.

In non-neoplastic tissue, expression is seen in a B-cell distribution.
