Immunohistochemical expression

High levels of androgen receptor expression are associated with various markers of tumour aggression in prostatic adenocarcinoma¹.

Apocrine carcinomas of the breast are commonly positive for androgen receptors but negative for oestrogen receptors and progesterone receptors.
