My apologies that it has been so long since the last edition.  Diagnostic work has kept me from this task.  Also, I have been working on a chapter on immunohistochemistry for Spencer's Pathology of the Lung, so pages here on lung tumours have been updated.  The 5th edition of the book should be published late in 2012.  From January 2013, I will be reducing my working week by 17%, so will have time to work on the vade mecum.

• Desmocollin and possibly p40 look like useful markers for squamous cell carcinoma of the lung, but more studies are needed.

• FISH for p16 deletion may be very helpful in the diagnosis of malignant mesothelioma

• KBA62 is a relatively new melanoma markers

• Pathpedia includes an Immunopedia sub site.  It is a database-driven site, like Dr. Frisman's.
