c-Jun

Cellular Jun is the analog of the viral oncogene v-Jun. Jun is a basic region-leucine zipper protein, a member the family of the activator-protein-1 transcription factors. These transcription factors are involved in cell proliferation differentiation and apoptosis. Activation of c-Jun occurs by phosphorylation.
