Synovial sarcoma, monophasic fibrous and poorly differentiated

Intrathoracic synovial sarcomas show a high proportion that are poorly differentiated.

Immunohistochemistry

The diagnoses in publications1&4 were proven by the presence of the translocation t(X:18)(p11.2;q11.2).

Cytogenetics

Independent of morphology, more than 90% of all synovial sarcomas show the translocation t(X;18)4.
